93. Is Six Greater than Seven? Wrestling with the Sabbath (Part 2)

“The Sabbath was made for man.” In Part 1, Brett and Perry wrestled with what that means. In Part 2, they ask a different question: if the Sabbath is a gift, what exactly is God offering us in it?

The answer may come down to a strange bit of math: what if working six days gets you further than working seven? Brett and Perry look for clues in a well-known fast-food chain, the science of peak performance, and an exhausted prophet in a cave. They also share an excerpt from their conversation with Jarrod Childers, a Trail Life leader and dad whose “168 framework” might convince you that you have more time than you think, and who has a simple Sunday rhythm his kids look forward to.

They’re also honest about the part that’s still hard, especially when the grass is tall and Monday is coming.
